Zastillia Recipes from YouTube

How to save a recipe from YouTube

Copy the link to a YouTube video, Short or community post and paste it into the Zastillia app. AI takes the recipe from the description under the video and turns it into a card with ingredients, steps, and calories and macros per serving. It works best when the creator listed the ingredients in the description.

Fastest: use Share

You don't have to copy the link. Share the video or post straight to Zastillia: the app opens by itself and starts reading the recipe. It works on both iPhone and Android.

  1. 1

    Tap Share

Under the video, tap the Share button with the arrow. In Shorts it sits to the right of the video.

  2. 2

    Open the system menu

Scroll the row of apps all the way to the right and tap the button with three dots.

    Pick Zastillia

In the share menu, tap the Zastillia icon. The app opens and starts the import right away, with nothing to paste.

iPhone

  1. The More button at the end of the app row on iPhone

Scroll the row of apps all the way to the right and tap More.

  2. The Edit button in the iPhone app list

Tap Edit in the top right corner.

  3. The green + button next to Zastillia in the iPhone app list

Tap the green + next to Zastillia, then Done. From now on Zastillia stays in the row.

Android

Android lists every app that can take a link, so scroll down the menu: Zastillia is there. To keep it first, touch and hold its icon and choose Pin.

    Give it a moment

If the recipe is only spoken in the video

When the description has no recipe, the result can be incomplete. Copy the recipe text instead, for example from the creator's comment or the subtitles, and choose Paste text in Zastillia: AI handles it the same way.

Questions

Does it work with YouTube Shorts?
Yes, just like regular videos.
Why are there fewer ingredients than in the video?
Most likely the creator didn't list them in the description. Add the missing ones by hand or paste the recipe text with Paste text.
Is it free?
Your first few imports are free, then importing from a link is part of Premium.
